What to expect:
At 9:00 am sharp on Monday, we’ll begin by explaining the Base Camp expectations and showing the campers around the gym to get them comfortable with Adventure Rock’s climbing areas. While at Base Camp, campers will learn basic climbing techniques and how to tie knots, plus they’ll get a ton of climbing experience. And since climbing can really wear you out, we’ve also scheduled time for snacks and games, some climbing related, some geared towards the energy of the group.
What to bring:
Rock climbing does not require any specific clothing – your child should just come dressed in clothes that are comfortable and easy to move around in. We provide all the climbing gear needed to have a great Base Camp experience. As a reminder, lunch is not provided. Please send your camper with a packed lunch. We provide a refrigerator where campers can store all lunches, snacks and beverages. We recommend that campers bring a water bottle as climbing can be a strenuous workout. Bottles of water, energy drinks and bars are also available for purchase in the Adventure Rock Pro Shop.
Finally, we ask that campers leave all electronics and toys at home! We promise they won’t be missed – time will fly by with all of the fun activities we have planned at Base Camp!
