Schlitz Audubon Summer Carmp | Kids Out and About Milwaukee

Schlitz Audubon Summer Carmp

Schlitz Audubon Nature Center’s leading experiential, environmental education connects children with the natural world, inspiring them to love and protect the land.

Conveniently located just north of the city on Lake Michigan, we provide the complete Wisconsin nature experience.

At our nature camps, your child will play, explore, and make discoveries on 185 acres of woodlands, prairies, ponds, wetlands, and beautiful Lake Michigan shoreline. We also feature camps that invite campers to interact with the live amphibians, reptiles, and raptors that are in our care.

We have several new offerings this year including topics such as storytelling, animal care, butterflies, LEGO building in nature, animal adaptations, and more. Our returning wide-ranging camp themes include Lake Michigan, American Indian activities, ponding, gardening, raptor training, team building, nature art, and many more.

Schlitz Audubon camps range from half-day sessions to week-long camps and every camp is licensed by the state of Wisconsin. Our professionally-trained naturalists help foster a love of nature and a sense of wonderment in every camper.

Hand-in-Hand Four Day Camp

This four day camp is a wonderful way to experience summer side-by-side with your child. Each day will feature free play, art, a story, snack, and a special hike out on the trails - just the right length for little legs. We require that these camps have a onechild to one-adult ratio.

Each camp includes hiking, playing, hands-on activities, exploration, and snack. Children must be 4 by September 1, 2018 and fully potty trained before camp begins. Please note that we are also offering a 3-week Preschool Alumni Camp intended for our Nature Preschool alumni entering K4, K5 and 1st grade. By popular request, these camps follow the format of our Nature Preschool classes, and are designed for children who have grown a little older.
