Día de los Muertos 5K & Festival

Each year, Forest Home Cemetery & Arboretum opens its gates to celebrate life, preserve our traditions, and lovingly honor the memory of those who are no longer physically with us but continue to live in our hearts. Join us on Saturday, October 24, 2026, for the region’s only Día de los Muertos Festival held within a cemetery. Each year, this meaningful celebration welcomes more than 3k attendees and over 500 runners and walkers. The day will begin with a 5K run/walk through Forest Home’s historic grounds, followed by a free community festival filled with culture, tradition, and family activities.

Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) at the Domes

Milwaukee Domes Alliance is hosting its annual Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Celebration on Friday, October 30, 2026, from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at the Mitchell Park Domes. In honor of Día de los Muertos, students from the surrounding community will be creating traditional ofrendas (offerings made in honor of loved ones) in the Desert Dome. The entire Desert Dome will be decorated in celebration of the holiday.

Sensory Friendly Morning at the H-D Museum

Autism United (formerly the Autism Society of Southeastern Wisconsin) and the Harley-Davidson Museum have partnered to create a FREE Sensory Friendly Morning experience for museum guests of all ages on Saturday, November 7th from 8am to 10am. During this session, the exhibits will be modified with reduced sound and lighting, a designated quiet space will be created, and a variety of creative stations will be setup on the lower-level of the H-D Museum for guests to enjoy! With these modifications and a reduced capacity, individuals will have the opportunity to interact with exhibits in a way that best meets their sensory needs. Registration is required.

“Halloween Harmonies” = PAJAMA JAMBOREES - Free Concerts for Families

Festival City Symphony’s Pajama Jamborees return on Wednesday, October 28 with “Halloween Harmonies,” kicking off another season of free, family-friendly orchestral fun! From the magical sounds of “Harry Potter “and the spooky drama of “Night on Bald Mountain” to favorites from “Ghostbusters,” “Coco,” “Beauty and the Beast,” and “This Is Halloween,” this concert is packed with music the whole family can enjoy. Join us Wednesday, October 28 from 7:00–8:00 p.m. at the Marcus Performing Arts Center. Come dressed in your Halloween best or coziest pajamas and get ready for a night of music, imagination, and spooky fun. Admission is FREE, and no tickets or reservations are needed.
