Joining audition prep is the EASIEST way to join a cast and see if MYA is right for you!! Secure your spot for just $100. If after audition prep you are set to audition for a role and join the cast the $100 goes to your tuition! Or you get it back! It's that easy!!
Our Mini Players are a great group of creative and fun 5-8 year old students who love to sing, dance, create and try new things. Mini Players does not require students to have previous theatre experience. All of our programs are an education based learning environment. We will give your actor all the tools they need to be successful on stage- no matter where they are starting! Students also do not need to know how to read- we will help make it easy and perfect for your actor no matter where they are on their reading journey. We even hope to help as they progress!
Students will work on growing and developing their theater skills through games and activities! The learning that is so fun, it almost doesn’t feel like learning! Your directors will work on helping the students try new things through fun group activities where no one is left behind. Each student is encouraged to grow at their own pace while our teachers track and monitor everyone’s progress individually. Students each get a featured role in the show as well- so there is a tangible place for them to put their new skills.
The benefits to starting theatre education at this age are truly endless. Aside from the technical education your young actor will receive, they will learn lessons about hard work, dedication, friendship, and beyond! The connections and friendships, as well as the growth that come in a cast setting are exponentially more impactful and fruitful than a regular once weekly dance class. Your Mini Player will transform both inside and outside the classroom with this cast. Additionally, all of our current cast members who have chosen to pursue our program at an early age go on to find great success- many of these actors are on our Youth and Junior Guild Casts today!
