August Fashion + Entrepreneurship Camp 2026
Ages 5–18 | Camp 1: July 27-August 1, Camp 2: August 3–14, Camp 3: August 17-28 | Monday–Friday, 9 AM–2 PM | IDS Center, Minneapolis

Within days, your child will design, sew, and sell their own fashion creations — and walk a real runway at the end.Lovely's Fashion + Entrepreneurship Camp is the only program in the Twin Cities that teaches kids how to design clothing AND turn it into a business. Campers learn real sewing skills, garment construction, upcycling, and draping — then price their creations and sell them at a popup market. It's fashion school, business school, and summer fun in one.

What your child will do: Design and construct 2–3 original garments (jackets, skirts, dresses, jumpsuits, and more). Learn machine sewing, hand sewing, draping, and upcycling techniques. Create products for a real popup market where they sell their work for cash. Walk the runway at the Fashion Show on the final day (free and open to friends and family).

What's included: All fabric, beads, stones, trimming, and materials for projects made from scratch. Breakfast and lunch every day. Professional instruction from Keiona Cook and volunteer teaching staff. Popup market experience and Fashion Show on the last day.

What to bring: One pair of jeans or a skirt, a jean jacket, and canvas shoes — your child will transform these into one-of-a-kind upcycled pieces.

Why this camp is different: Most summer camps keep kids busy. This one gives them a trade skill and teaches them how to make money from their creativity. As featured on WCCO, CBS News, and MSP Magazine.
