Islands of Brilliance (IOB) is a nonprofit organization that is pioneering the use of art, creativity, and creative technologies to spur self-confidence, independence, and pathways to employment for autistic individuals.
Our programming, rooted in art, design and STEaM-based curriculum, helps children and young adults on the autism spectrum learn valuable technical skills, while practicing critical social and emotional learning competencies in a supported environment.
Sandbox@ introduces autistic students and their families to IOB's in-person versions of our three virtual Sandbox programs.
Participants will have the chance to learn, create, and connect with other students in a safe and supportive environment through art, storytelling, and STEaM-based projects. Each workshop is 90 minutes but we have a hunch it will go by in the blink of an eye as we've got an action-packed schedule.
Parents and siblings are encouraged to join in the fun!
