Nature Based Creative Movement

Would your child enjoy a tree for a dance partner, using leaves, rocks, pinecones, and sticks as props, or moving inspired by the furry and feathered creatures that cross their path? If so, then join us for this 4 class session movement-based exploration of the outdoors.
Each class meets in a different location in Humboldt Park and has a different nature theme: plants, animals, water, and landscape. We will observe and play using our 5 senses to dance our way through the park. Participants and their observing caregivers should dress for the weather and conditions. We will meet rain or shine except in the event of extreme inclement weather/dangerous conditions. Masks are required and there will not be access to the bathroom so please plan accordingly
Session I: Location Humboldt Park (4 classes)
4 & 5 year olds (adult caregiver required to observe class)
Date: Mondays, May 3-24th, Time: 4-4:45pm
6-8 year olds (last class includes an informal presentation of our explorations)
Date: Mondays, May 3-24th, Time: 5-5:45pm
Class Themes & Meeting Locations within Humboldt Park:
Class 1-"Plants" on Montana just east of Howell.
Class 2 -"Animals" meet on the southside of the tennis courts
Class 3 -"Water", meet on the east side of the pond
Class 4 -"Landscape" meet in open space at base of large hill on Howell side
