Shalom Wildlife: Wisconsin's Wildest Zoo
Shalom Wildlife began in 1979 as a deer farm with native whitetail deer that were purchased from the State of Wisconsin. Today the Zoo encompasses 100 acres. Although still a working farm, in 2010 Shalom was licensed as a zoo and is home to over 400 animals that are cared for daily. Some of the animals are there for permanent placement, some have been donated, and some have been purchased. Shalom is a privately owned federally licensed zoo that is solely funded by the admission fee to the zoo.
Mitchell Park Horticultural Conservatory
Experience a desert oasis, a tropical jungle and floral gardens…all at one destination! The Mitchell Park Horticultural Conservatory, better known as The Domes, is one of the most unique destinations in Milwaukee. Discover cacti, succulents, shrubs and desert palms in the Desert Dome. Enjoy five seasonal shows each year in the Floral Dome and walk among 1,200 species of rainforest plants in the Tropical Dome. The Domes are open every day of the year.
Milwaukee Public Museum

Betty Brinn Children's Museum
The Betty Brinn Children's Museum provides interactive exhibits and educational resources that promote the healthy development of children in their formative years from birth through age 10.
Boerner Botanical Gardens
The Boerner Botanical Gardens, an internationally renowned horticultural showplace in the Milwaukee County Parks, offers gardeners, plant lovers and students the opportunity to take in the colors and scents of a variety of collections. Hours: Mid-April-Sept. 30: 8 a.m.–dusk, daily. Oct. 1-30: 8 a.m.- 4:30 p.m., daily.
First Stage

Milwaukee Art Museum
The Milwaukee Art Museum houses a rich collection of over 30,000 works, with strengths in 19th- and 20th-century American and European art, contemporary art, American decorative arts, and is the world's leading repository for work by untrained creators.
Wehr Nature Center
Wehr Nature Center is located in Whitnall Park. Explore over five miles of nature trails through woodland, wetland, prairie and oak savanna on 220 acres of protected land in Whitnall Park. Labeled gardens feature prairie, woodland and other plant varieties; a natural play space for kids with a log cabin playhouse; and an accessible deck over Mallard Lake. Wehr Nature Center also hosts nature-themed educational programming and special events year round.

Bristol Renaissance Fair
For 9 glorious weekends starting in early July, each Saturday and Sunday, plus Labor Day Monday, visitors take a rollicking romp through Elizabethan England, complete with 16th Century games, rides, arts, crafts, food, music and one-of-a-kind encounters with a spectacular cast of characters. The Faire boasts a beautiful 30-acre site with 14 open-air stages featuring Swordfighters, Minstrels, Jesters, and Queen Elizabeth! All entertainment is included in the price of admission.
Urban Ecology Center
An Environmental Community Center connecting people in cities to nature and each other. We restore hope and heal our urban natural world, neighborhood by neighborhood. community and education center in Riverside Park. The award-winning facility has themed classrooms designed especially for the school programs. In addition there is space dedicated to the community for potlucks, meetings, lectures and recreational activities.
Racine Zoo

The Marcus Center for the Performing Arts
The Marcus Center For The Performing Arts is a non for profit organization providing dance, music, and drama instruction to youth ages 3-17 year of age. Its mission is to develop cultural awareness and an appreciation of the arts specifically with a focus on the genres of dance, drama and music to the community.
Old Falls Village Historical Society
Featuring a variety of historic homes and buildings, this living history museum is nestled on the grounds of a beautiful 17-acre park in Menomonee Falls. The centerpiece of Old Falls Village is the 1858 Miller Davidson House, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Additional buildings in the park include a log home, school house, barn, railroad depot, log cabin, and small dairy. Each of the buildings feature antiques and artifacts from the mid 1800's to the 1900's.
