Bats are one of the world’s most beneficial and misunderstood animals. With over 1,300 different species around the world, nine can be found in Connecticut, eight of which are at risk. Ginny Apple, Master Wildlife Conservationist with the CT DEEP, will discuss the economic value of bats, their migration and hibernation patterns, decline and disease as well as steps the public can take to help ensure the health and safety of our bat populations.
