What is better than seeing your favorite series stretching out along the library shelf, going on and on? What beats the thrill of a favorite author releasing a new novel? How about writing your own serial adventure? We will start with strong beginnings that hook and ground the reader, and consider the best ways to give your readers background, depending on whether this is Book 1 or 21 in the series. We’ll find endings that surprise, satisfy, and whet your reader’s appetite for the next book in the series. Along the way, we will uncover strategies for laying out a plot that is both consistent and exciting.
