Camp Kesem at Northwestern University

*The event has already taken place on this date: Thu, 08/12/2021
Camp Kesem provides a week of camp, completely free of charge, to children ages 6-18 who have been affected by a parent's cancer. We foster a safe environment for children to connect with others who understand them in ways their everyday peers cannot.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

We are run by trained and passionate undergraduate students of Northwestern University, though we also have nurses and mental health professionals. We aim to not only offer an incredibly fun week full of laughter, friendship and smores, but also a safe space where these children can share their emotions and struggles with others facing similar situations.

We believe this is the best week of the year for both our counselors and campers, so we encourage anyone who may benefit to join our Kesem Family! Please reach out to us if you're interested in applying for camp this June and we'd love to provide you with more information.

*Times, dates, and prices of any activity posted to our calendars are subject to change. Please be sure to click through directly to the organization’s website to verify.
