Milwaukee Robotics Academy blends the thrill of competition with high-level skills training to engage youth in programming, engineering, design, and fabrication. Inspired by Milwaukee’s strong sports culture, this proven model now drives advanced STEM development. For over a decade, a standout robotics team has been building the city’s future workforce. Since 2015, 72% of alumni have entered STEM careers, while graduates pursue college majors and launch local businesses. The Academy supports underserved students through free summer workshops, a year-round Riverwest lab, and expert mentoring that opens pathways to engineering and technology careers. Students are currently enrolled in electrical, mechanical, and software engineering programs across Wisconsin and nationwide institutions today overall.
